The island of Plateaux is a summer island so hot that being outside during the day causes most materials to burst into flames. The people of the island live in a series of manmade caves carved into the island's many tall, flat hills.
The island is primarily composed of "lemonstone", a dense stone that has a naturally pleasant smell. Various nobles of Envault Island later in the route have been attempting to claim this island for ages to hold exclusive access to the lemonstone.
