The first island in the most dangerous route, and the reason Marines are not found past it. This fall island is perpetually chilly and foggy, with the earth of the island an unsettling black color. The center of the island is a dense forest of black trees, filled with dangerous monsters that spew lethal poisons, kept at bay by the constant efforts of the Marines on the island all around it.
The civilians in the villages at the edges of the island live in fear of the monsters from the forest, who are rumored to be able to eat men whole on top of their poisons. This island is considered a death sentence for any who arrive, and even the Marines have abandoned the troops left there, refusing to devote further resources to the pointless effort.
