Kratikoff Island
A huge winter island dominated by a single, highly advanced city of steel and steam, powered by the strange Fire Crystals mined from beneath it. The island is overseen by the Kratikoff Family, a group of ludicrously macho Giant-sized Humans who happily accept all outsiders so long as they earn their keep. The island's population is at least a thousand people, and yet it remains civil.
The only catch seems to be that the Kratikoff Family do not recognize any form of outside authority, nobility, or currency, claiming that all are equal here. The Marines and World Government have imposed a trade embargo on the island, but as the island is entirely self-sufficient even that has done nothing.
