The start of the Cursed Route, Tortilla is an incredibly peaceful island that has a normal seasonal climate unlike many others in the Grand Line. The majority of the island is covered in farmland, primarily cornfields.
The only real catch is the native population of the island do not speak the same language as the rest of the world, and believe in a very strict religious worship of a mysterious being known as "The Golden Sun" in the common language. They are xenophobic and do not allow travelers to stay in their towns overnight, but are not openly hostile otherwise.
Marines strangely avoid this island.
